Earth Day & Arbor Day 2009 Events
  • April 24 & 25, 2009 Join Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy for their annual Arbor Day Celebration on the 24th from 11 AM until Noon, and then come back on the 25th for the Earth Day workday from 8:30 AM until Noon. Click here for more information.
  • April 24, 2009 in recognition of its status as a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation, Fontana will host an Arbor Day celebration at Fontana Elementary School at 10 AM.
  • April 25 & 26, 2009 - Join Clear Water Outdoor for the 3rd Annual Paddlefest and Earth Day Celebration. Friends of Big Foot State Beach Park will be joining the festivities, which will include trail clean-up, prairie restoration, Buttons Bay Creek clean-up & entrance landscaping, playground enhancements and more. Volunteers are needed, so please contact Sarah Schuester at sarah@clearwateroutdoor.com
  • May 2, 2009 - Join the Conservancy and the Town of Geneva for their Earth Day Celebration on Lake Como's North Shore. There will be a raffle, children's activitites, a lakeshore clean-up lead by Clearwater Outdoor, and music by Sam Baker, the Caribbean Eclipse Steel Drum Band and Rockin' Billy & HIs Wild Coyotes! Admission for this event is free. Click here for more information.
  • May 2, 2009 In recognition of its status as a Tree City USA, by the Arbor Day Foundation, Lake Geneva will celebrate Arbor Day on May 2 at 10 AM with a tree planting at Seminary Park.
