Conservancy adds Six and Watters to Community Board

Fontana, WI - Two new members, Bob Six of Fontana and Todd Watters of Walworth, have been elected to the Board of Directors of the Geneva Lake Conservancy, announced Chuck Ebeling, Conservancy Board Chairman and James Celano, Conservancy Executive Director. They were elected to 3 year terms at the Conservancy's last regular board meeting in May, bringing the number on the board to thirteen members from the Geneva Lake watershed area.

Bob Six, a commercial real estate professional, is senior vice president of marketing and leasing with the Zeller Realty Group in Chicago. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Chicago, and has been a guest lecturer on commercial real estate in the MBA programs of both Roosevelt and Northwestern Universities. He will initially serve on the Conservancy's fund raising committee. Six commented, "I would like to take an active role in giving back to the community in which I live, from a quality of life standpoint, through public service."
Todd Watters, an auditor, is currently President of the Village of Walworth. He is an Assistant Vice President and Manager of Internal Audit for Amcore Bank, N.A. in Rockford. He will initially serve on the Conservancy's land protection committee. Watters cited his "passionate concern for the conservation of the lake environment, which originally enticed me here from the Chicago area. Land protection and responsible development is an arena where I feel community leaders can make a significant impact."
The Geneva Lake Conservancy is a not-for-profit, state-chartered land trust and conservation advocacy organization serving the southern half of Walworth County and centered on the Geneva Lake watershed. It is supported entirely by private contributions and community volunteers. The Conservancy is a member of Wisconsin's Gathering Waters conservation group, and of the national Land Trust Alliance. Its offices are in Fontana's historic 1857 Mill House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
