What is the Conservancy?
Home

It is our hope that you will immerse yourself in the issues and opportunities that you find here. Look for regular updates on topical matters, local government meetings and editorial content. Also learn more about the tools available to private landowners to protect their property. And, have a little fun as you partake of some of the local entertainment cues and flavors that make Walworth County such a wonderful place to be. Enjoy!

What is the Conservancy?
The Geneva Lake Conservancy is a not-for-profit organization supported entirely by contributions from persons who believe in the importance of protecting the nature and history of Walworth County, Wisconsin. The county is home to glacial lakes, formed over 10,000 years ago, rich agricultural lands, environmental corridors, gently rolling scenic vistas, and a legacy of culture and history that are threatened by urban sprawl and short-sighted developmental greed. The Conservancy is dedicated to the preservation of open space, ecology and history, and directs its efforts toward shaping zoning policies and decisions, public and private land conservation, and environmental education.
