Bruce Johnson

Bruce Johnson participated in the Conservation@Home program in the spring of 2021 and it is notable that all items except “Uses a Rain Barrel” were checked off the Landowner Checklist. He has served on the GLC Board since 2022. The Conservation@Home group was impressed with Bruce’s property, which is entirely native and a wonderful example of utilization of native plants in a landscape. Bruce hosted a Conservation@Home open house at which he shared his conservation efforts.

Steve Diamond, Kevin Brunner, Karen Yancey and Janet Happ met with Bruce on October 31 and learned that Bruce was involved with the Morton Arboretum adult programs and attained several certificates. Bruce’s horticulture knowledge is extensive and his passion for conservation is deep.

Recently Bruce sold his company which sold aviation artifacts. Now committed to living full time in Williams Bay, Bruce is enthusiastic about being on the Conservancy board.
