One of the most popular, native clumping grasses for hot, sunny landscapes.  Birds feed on the seeds.  Deer resistant.  An important Midwest native grass option that is well behaved and easy to incorporate in more formal landscapes.  Give it water the first season, to ensure it gets established.  Thereafter, it is carefree.  Beautiful!  Some say the seed heads smell faintly of buttered popcorn.
